What you can do on the free plan

The free plan is built for evaluation. You can:

• Generate an API key in the dashboard and call the REST API right away.
• Pull real, structured articles with their enrichment, so you are testing the actual product, not a stripped-down demo.
• Build and validate a prototype against recent news history.

It is genuinely useful for a proof of concept, a side project, or deciding whether finlight is right before you commit.

Where the limits are

Free tiers exist to be evaluated, so a few things are reserved for paid plans:

• Request volume is capped per month.
• History depth is limited to recent news; deeper archives come with higher plans.
• Real-time delivery (WebSocket) and webhooks are paid features.
